January 2005: After still receiving repeated requests more than 3 years after the initial release of the program, I have decided to again make available the download of the MechWarrior 4 Music Extractor. Please understand that the program is provided as is. The program will not receive further development, and chances are slim I will be able to assist with any issues with it, simply because I no longer have the game installed, nor the time needed to work on the project. Comments are, of course, still greatly appreciated.

I was never able to get a response from Microsoft as to the legality, but if you work for or represent Microsoft and would like me to remove this program once and for all, please do not hesitate to email me.

(A few people have questioned the legal aspect of distributing this program. For this reason I have decided to remove the download now and am contacting Microsoft to get their say on this. It was never the intent to "pirate" (part of) the product, merely to make the good sides more freely available to those who ALREADY bought it. - if you have any kind of feedback or questions you are more than welcome to email me!)
